يعد المعجم المساعد للكتاب الأساسي لتعليم اللغة العربية لغير الناطقين بها مرجعا هاما يستفيد منه مستخدمي الكتاب الأساسي وذلك من خلال المفردات المتوفرة فيه وبخمس لغات، وبالتالي فانه يعتبر معجما لغويا خاص بالمفردات الموجودة في اول جزئين من الكتاب. وقد تم إصدار هذا المعجم نظرا لحاجة المتعلم إليه وهو مساعد يسهل مهمة معرفة مفردات المعاني باللغات المتوفرة فيه.
