This method is aimed at young adults who are beginners in learning Arabic as a foreign language. It comprises the following elements: the Student’s Book, the Activity Book, and the Teacher’s Guide.

" Arabic for Teenagers" aims to develop initial communicative competence in the foreign language. The method is entirely in Arabic and does not use an intermediate language.

The proposed approach is both communicative and pragmatic: learning to communicate and communicating something. It can be summarized as follows:

• Functional Language: The language used in the method is functional and presented in communication situations.
• Contextualized Grammar: In the communicative perspective, grammar is situational, with its oral and written specifics. Grammar points are always presented through small sketches, signs, mini-stories, etc., which are easily memorable and allow for easy contextual access.
• Cultural Content: Cultural content is an integral part of the material to be taught.
• Spiral Progression: The contents of this method are constantly revisited in different sections of the Student’s Book and the Activity Book. The progression follows a spiral learning approach, revisiting previously acquired knowledge and overcoming difficulties in various forms to integrate and gradually enrich them. This way of progressing is applied to vocabulary and syntax, both oral and written. The transition moves from understanding mini-texts to short texts, and then to medium-length texts, without excessively increasing the difficulty of the discourse. Initially, minimal expression is required from the student, which can be as simple as a gesture, gradually leading to the construction of more complex sentences by showing that these are, in reality, just combinations of already known simple structures.
